PPE is not a box by the door. Hard hats, boots, gloves, and hi-vis leave the stores against a person — size, date, and replacement — so SHEQ can see who was issued what, and the stores can see what is actually on the shelf.
Issue, replace, and take back in the same register as the rest of stock. When a pair of cut-5 gloves goes out to a technician, it is on their record, not in a signing book that never comes back.
